Bengali and Nepali languages now available on SaverAsia
Saver Global
SaverAsia now hosts Bengali and Nepali languages on all digital literacy content across its website and app.
Just one-third of adults in the Asia-Pacific region are classified as financially literate, which is on par with the global average [1]. At saverglobal.com, one of our main goals is to bridge this gap by improving migrant workers’ knowledge and understanding of financial products.
We support financial literacy as an enabler of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), helping to transform the lives of marginalized populations and create more stable financial systems. To this end, we have recently launched SaverAsia in Bengali and Nepali languages, expanding our reach to hundreds of thousands more migrant workers in Asia.
The new languages and corresponding migrant worker training are generously supported by the International Labour Organisation’s Migrant Workers Empowerment and Advocacy (MWEA) project, with funding from the US Department of Labor.
With the addition of Bengali and Nepali languages, SaverAsia’s library of resources will grow, addressing a diverse array of financial topics in formats that are accessible and relatable to migrant workers from different backgrounds. This tailored approach ensures that financial education is not a barrier, but a bridge to a more secure financial future.
We are continuing to work with MWEA and Malaysian industry and community partner organisations to tailor multilingual digital financial literacy content to migrant workers in Malaysia and beyond. Over the coming months, we will be providing financial literacy and remittances training to tens of thousands of migrant workers in Malaysia.
